This will sort the concordances on the words within the matched string.
You can access this by selecting the 'Matched Words' option in the 'Sort' group in the 'Select a task..' drop down menu on the results screen. Some options to determine the position to sort on will be displayed below the 'Select a task...' menu.
The options are:
Using the first two drop down menus you can select the position you wish to sort on. Firstly choose the term in the query that you wish to sort on.
For example: if your query was 'too many *3 spoil the' then you will be gvien the choice to sort on 'too', 'many', '*3', 'spoil' or 'the'.If the term you choose is a wildcard you can then select the position within that wildcard to search on.
For example: if you choose '*3' from the example above then you can choose to sort on position 1, 2 or 3 within that wildcard slot.
The third drop down menu allows you to choose the direction the concordances will be sorted in. Either alphabetical or reverse alphabetical.
Checking this option will group together results that differ only by case. This is unchecked by default (case sensitive). If unchecked capital letters will be sorted ahead of lowercase letters.
The sorted concordances will start to appear on the results screen when they are ready. The sort will continue in the background until finished. The percent completed will be displayed at the top of the screen.
